Standby Application
SCOUT LEADER WOOD BADGE
I am
applying to attend the 2002 Advanced Leader Wood Badge training course on a
"standby" basis if any last minute openings occur. I understand that the
registrations are currently full for this year but would like the opportunity to
fill a last minute opening or be in line for next year's course.
I have completed basic leader training, i.e. Boy Scout Leader Basic Training / Scoutmastership Fundamentals / Commissioner Basic Training or Varsity Scout Leader
Fundamentals. (This must be completed prior to course). I understand that attendance at
the following sessions is required for completion and certification.
- Weekend #1:
August 23, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. until August 25, 2002, at 6:00 p.m.
- First mid-course-weekend meeting (To be arranged; approximately 2 hours.)
- Second mid-course-weekend meeting (To be arranged; approximately 2 hours.)
- Weekend #2:
Sept. 27, 2002 from 8:00 a.m. until
Sept. 29, 2002, at 5:00 p.m.
There is a pre-course meeting, on August 14, 2002 at 7:00 p.m. at the council office to
complete registration, discuss "the ticket", and answer questions. Attendance is
encouraged but not required. The course fee of $150 covers all course materials but does
not cover the cost of meals for part of the second course weekend. A
minimum $50 deposit still needs to accompany this standby application but will
be refunded or applied towards next year's course if no additional openings
occur for the 2002 course. Upon receipt of your application,
we will mail further information to you.
