Cub Scout
Emblems
Cub Scout youth are able to earn two Catholic
emblems during their tenure as Cub Scouts.
The Light of Christ
Emblem is designed for the Tiger and Wolf Scouts. This is a parish and family oriented
program in which the Cub Scout works with his parent(s). The purpose is to
have the Scout develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, as a real
person and his friend.
The Parvuli Dei
(Child of God) Emblem is designed for Bear and Webelos Scouts. This is a parish an family
oriented program in which the Cub Scout works with his parent(s). The
purpose is to help young boys explore a wide range of activities in order to
discover the presence of God in their daily lives as members of their family and
parish, and also to develop a good positive self-image through the contributions
they can make to the group or community.
Boy Scout Emblems
Boy Scout youth are able to earn two Catholic
emblems during their tenure as Boy Scouts or as members of a Venture
Crew.
The Ad Altare Dei
Emblem is designed to be used with boys age 13 and 14 years
old. Other older Scouts may work with this program. Scouts are
encourage to take this program with other Scouts under the guidance of a trained
counselor. The program covers eight sections which parallel the Seven
Sacraments.
The Pope Pius XII
Emblem is designed for Boy Scouts and Venture boys and girls.
This is a vocation based program designed for high school and college age youth
and is administered by a trained counselor.
